A personal trainer & nutritionist with a passion to inspire and motivate people to take that step and start feeling better

Barbell with Weights

Hi! My name is Lisa Brown. I am 52 years old. I have been educating people about fitness and nutrition professionally since I was 16 years old.  And I absolutely LOVE helping people become confident with their physiques, teaching them to nourish their bodies to feel great, and increasing their belief in themselves to reach their goals!

I also believe that fitness should be a part of your life and not rule it.

That's why not only do I talk the big talk, I walk the big walk. I live the lifestyle and I believe finding a balance in life and fitness is the only way to reach and MAINTAIN your goals forever. I don't believe in quick fixes (they don't exist) and overnight results (they don't exist either). I believe in forever fitness and good nutrition and that it truly is the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH.

Maybe you’re here because you’re overweight and need some motivation to get your life in order. Maybe you are here because you are tired of feeling overwhelmed by all of the bullshit information about fitness and nutrition that you are bombarded with each day. Maybe you are here to get some information you can trust.

Maybe you are here because you want to find a balanced approach to fitness and reap the extra benefit of looking good naked as you get healthy at the same time.

Look, I don’t care exactly how you got here. I’m just glad you’re here.

Here at FitLisa FitLife, I want to give you an education and TEACH  you how to eat and train for your goals. My goal is to coach myself out of a job and give you the skills that will allow you to do it on your own forever.

Your life in fitness should be something you feel good about and look forward to on a daily basis. As you may or may not know — this fitness thing is a journey. And the journey never ends.

MY STORY:

I started out as a child with an exceptional love for dance and music and that evolved to teaching aerobics in 1983 (cue leg warmers and headbands). That started my love of fitness which led to many many fitness certifications in various modalities. I then became interested in massage therapy and attended massage school while continuing my fitness career.  At that time I started weight training in the weight room to put into practice the anatomy and kinesology I learned in my higher education and that led me to bodybuilding world. I went on to compete in 10 competitions while devising my own training and nutrition plan. Then along came Zumba, where I not only did I teach classes with hundred of smiling participants, I was able to teach my fitness choreography to other instructors. I truly enjoyed my time changing people's lives.

For most of my fitness career, there was much speculation and little science concerning nutrition and it's affect on the physique. I then decided to embark on a new adventure and further my fitness career with learning as much as I could about this, as well as the psychology that comes along with eating.  Now at age 52, my goal is to help as many people as possible fall in love with fitness, help them experience what it can do for them and teach them how to properly eat for their goals.
